MOVING STONES — TERMS, CONDITIONS & PROGRAM DISCLOSURES

Last Updated: February 2026

1. ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Moving Stones is a nonprofit organization operating as an authorized program partner of the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Self-Sufficiency Fund (SSF). This program is administered in accordance with Texas Labor Code §309.002 and TWC Chapter 835, as amended by Senate Bill 770 of the 87th Texas Legislature.

2. ELIGIBILITY

Participation in the Moving Stones SSF program is limited to individuals who meet eligibility criteria established by the Texas Workforce Commission. To qualify, applicants must be identified as low-income or at risk of becoming dependent on public assistance, as defined under TWC Chapter 835. Eligibility is subject to verification of all submitted documentation. Moving Stones reserves the right to determine program eligibility based on current TWC guidelines, available funding, and program capacity.

3. APPLICATION & ENROLLMENT

Submission of an intake application or inquiry form does not constitute enrollment in the program, nor does it guarantee the award of funding or services. All applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Applicants will be notified of their status following the review process. Selection for orientation does not guarantee final approval. Final enrollment is contingent upon successful completion of all required steps, verification of eligibility, and available program capacity.

4. ACCURACY OF INFORMATION

All information submitted through Moving Stones application materials, intake forms, or online inquiries must be truthful, accurate, and complete. Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information — including but not limited to income documentation, residency, or identification — may result in immediate disqualification from the program. Moving Stones and the Texas Workforce Commission reserve the right to verify all submitted information through appropriate channels.

5. FUNDING & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Financial assistance provided through the Self-Sufficiency Fund covers eligible program costs including tuition, required materials, books, and supplies, in accordance with Texas Workforce Commission guidelines. Funding amounts are determined by TWC guidelines and are not guaranteed. Availability of funds is subject to program budget and participant eligibility. Moving Stones does not guarantee specific funding amounts to any individual applicant.

All data handling is subject to applicable state and federal privacy regulations.
